974 Group app — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the 974 Group mobile app (iOS and Android) collects, why, and the choices you have. The app is run by 974 Group, the team behind 974Bands (974bands.net), Doha, Qatar. Questions: 974bands@gmail.com or WhatsApp +974 5555 6278.

1. What we collect

• Account details — if you sign in: your email address and, if you add them, your name and phone number. Sign-in is handled by Shopify with a one-time email code; we never see or store a password.
• Order details — when you place an order: name, delivery address, phone number, the items you bought and your order history. Checkout is provided by Shopify.
• Payment — card payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. The app and our team never see or store your full card number. Cash or card on delivery is settled with the courier.
• Push notifications — if you allow notifications, our notification provider (OneSignal) receives a device token plus basic device information (device type, operating system, app language, time zone) so it can deliver messages. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone settings.
• Kept only on your phone — your cart, favourites, chosen language and delivery country are saved on your device and are not sent to us, except that your cart and delivery country are used to prepare checkout.
• Messages — if you tap a WhatsApp button, WhatsApp opens with a message (and the product link) that you can edit before sending. What you send is handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not collect your precise location, and we do not sell your personal information.

2. How we use it

• To process, deliver, exchange or refund your orders.
• To show your orders and account in the app.
• To answer your questions and give support.
• To send notifications you have allowed (order updates, offers, new arrivals).
• To prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

Only with the service providers needed to run the store: Shopify (store, accounts, checkout and payments — Shopify privacy policy), OneSignal (push notifications — OneSignal privacy policy) and our delivery partners (name, phone and address, to deliver your order). We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account details while your account is open. Order records are kept as long as accounting and tax laws require. When you delete your account, we delete your personal details within 30 days, apart from records we must keep by law.

5. Deleting your account

In the app: My account → Delete my account. Your account, saved addresses and personal details are deleted within 30 days. If you no longer have the app, see 974bands.net/pages/delete-account, or email 974bands@gmail.com from the email address on your account.

6. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us at the details above. We reply within 30 days.

7. Security

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Account and payment systems are run by Shopify, which is PCI-DSS certified.

8. Children

The app is a shop for a general audience and is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date.
